Authority
It is not possible to move forward without pausing to explore the titans of Authority and Creativity, otherwise known as tradition and innovation. There is a consistent clash of these titans throughout history through especially when logos and pathos rise to elevate humanity once again. Yet it remains that progress through history is impossible without either of these great concepts rivaling each other for attention on the world stage in all areas of human endeavor.
The choice to accept something based on referred authority or persuasion does not make it any less of an intelligent choice. It merely means I have been satisfied beyond reasonable need to doubt and I have more important things on which to focus my time and energy.
