Kingship
What do we know about Kings?
- [AL 2.21]
- Compassion is a vice. [See Liber Had (8) for "stamp down the wretched & the weak" aspect.]
- Kings do not die.
- Even the essence of royalty never dies so that even in dissolution, there is that which remains.
- [AL 2.24]
- At rule.
- At victorious armies.
- At all the joy.
- … and there shall be in them a joy a million times greater than this.
- Hermits and Kings share at least identity if not actually identical.
- Everything between Kings is about consensual acts—but fuck’em if they mess with you!
- Love is at the core of the King (Love is the law, after all).
- [AL 2.58-59]
- Everyone has always been a King—but they may not remember it.
- Kingship can have a mask of a beggar.
- (Yes, sometimes people can get that mask stuck and never recover from it)
- It is not up to us to judge other’s Kingship. We can only focus on our own and treat others like Kings anyway.
- [AL 2.74]
- Those who take the time to work through the veils of the Khu ("lives long & desires death much") are those who will rise to the top of the heap even as Kings among Kings.
Brotherhood of Kings Defined
- [AL 3.58]
- The keen: those whose Will is as a sword sharp and straight, tempered and ground and polished its flawless steel; with a Wrist and an Eye behind it.
- The proud: those who know themselves to be stars, and bend the knee to none. True pride prevents one from doing that which is unworthy of themselves.
- The royal: those whose nature is kingly, the men who 'can.' They know themselves born rulers, whether their halidom be Art, or Science, or aught else soever.
- The lofty: those who, being themselves high-hearted, endure not any baseness.
- Attributes
- Keen = To Know
- Proud = To Dare

- Lofty = To Keep Silent
- [AL 3.59]
